Carver Camp is located at 9259 Knight Road in Grass Lake, just over an hour's drive west of Detroit, and right off I-94.
Carver Camp is a beautiful 392-acre facility situated on the northeastern shore of Goose Lake. There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen - deer, turkeys, groundhogs, frogs, turtles, foes, raccoons, swans, geese, hawks, owls, and sand cranes. A variety of pan-fish can be pulled from the lake. Forestland, wetland, and meadows provide natural habitats.
The campground consists of a 50-bed dormitory with restrooms and showers, a multi-purpose building with a large kitchen and restrooms, two smaller buildings which can be used for sleeping or activities, and a small building housing our recreation equipment.
We have a basketball court, bicycles, horses, horseshoes, a small fishing pier (state-issued license required), hiking trails, badminton, and other miscellaneous outdoor games. Users are encouraged to bring their own sports equipment.
Sister Annette Lee can be contacted at alee@carvercamp.com for reservations or information on future use dates.
